How the score is made

The page uses two birthdays and converts each one to a tropical sun sign. It does not collect a birth time or a birthplace. This is not a personal report from an astrologer, and it cannot decide whether you stay.

Four scores

• Emotional pull is higher when the elements match, next when fire meets air or earth meets water, and lower otherwise.
• Ease of talk is higher when the modes match, next when cardinal meets mutable, and lower when cardinal meets fixed.
• Long game is higher when the signs are two or four places apart, and lower when they are three apart or opposite.
• Friction is higher for opposites and for a three-place gap, and lower for the same sign.

The index is emotional pull 32%, ease of talk 24%, long game 24%, and 20% of “100 minus friction.” The relationship type only nudges the numbers: not named yet lowers ease of talk, already over raises friction, friends lowers friction, and dating raises emotional pull a little.
